Radel® Polyphenylsulfone
Performance Across The Board
Radel polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) delivers the highest performance of our sulfone polymers, offering better impact resistance and chemical resistance than polysulfone (PSU) and polyetherimide (PEI). Its high heat resistance and excellent hydrolytic stability make it an excellent choice for hot water fittings and medical devices requiring repeated steam sterilization.
Acudel modified PSU offers cost advantages for applications with less demanding requirements.
Radel R-7000 Series products are specially formulated for use in aircraft interiors and are in compliance with stringent FAA regulations requiring low heat release, low smoke generation and low toxic gas emissions.

What a Show of Strength
 |
Radel polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) can withstand continuous exposure to moisture and high temperatures and still absorb tremendous impact without cracking or breaking.
Heat-aged test plaques evaluated using a Gardner falling dart impact tester demonstrate the superior performance of Radel PPSU.
