AvaSpire is a versatile family of polyaryletherketones (PAEK) that are tailored to provide new and unique combinations of performance and value. AV-600 Series delivers a range of distinctive performance attributes with some grades offering more attractive economics when compared to PEEK. The AV-700 Series offers comparable performance to PEEK at up to 30% lower cost.

AV-600 Series: Distinctive Performance

• Higher stiffness than PEEK from 150°C to 190°C
• Improved ductility and toughness

• UL 94 V0 rating at 0.8 mm

Improved Flame Retardancy

Improved Flame Retardancy enables unfilled AvaSpire 600 Series products to attain a UL 94 V0 rating at 0.8 mm.

Chemical Resistance

AV-600 products offer chemical resistance that is better than PEI, with most grades being nearly equivalent to that of PEEK.

Processing Advantages include reduced warpage and improved ability to achieve tight dimensional tolerances. AV-600 Series products can be easily extruded into films of various thicknesses.

AV-700 Series products offer comparable performance to PEEK at up to 30% lower cost. They bridge the gap between PEEK and high-performance semi-crystalline polymers like polyphenylene sulfone (PPS), and high-temperature nylons like polyphthalamide (PPA).
