Today, more than ever, the demands of the cooling and heating system to manage the thermal requirements of the automobile have never been more stringent. In addition, automobile manufacturers now require new coolants that are less corrosive to metal components in the system. These new coolants are very aggressive to chemical attack on conventional polyamides (PA 66).  AMODEL polyphthalamide (PPA) is ideally suited for this more demanding end use environment.  AMODEL PPA meets or exceeds the more aggressive thermal and chemical resistance demands of the cooling and heating system.

PRIMEF polyphenylene sulfide is a lighter weight, lower cost alternative to cast aluminum that is fueling a metal-to-plastics conversion in water pump impellers and other cooling system components. It is virtually unaffected by long-term exposure to aggressive engine coolants at high temperatures.

AMODEL AS-1933 HS is particularly well suited for water inlets, outlets, thermostat housings, heater cores, heating system valves, and pump impellers.

AMODEL AS-1945 HS is recommended for designs requiring additional stiffness and applications such as water crossover tubes and water pump components.

With more than ten years of proven performance, AMODEL PPA is the clear choice to deliver reliable, proven performance in these demanding applications and systems.
